Peacefully in hospital on 20th May, Jose Ransome, aged 92 passed away in the presence of her family. A service to celebrate the life of Jose will be held at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Church Lane, Ormesby, Middlesbrough, TS7 9AU on Friday 12th June at 1:00pm prior to the burial in St. Cuthbert’s churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Close family flowers only, please.
Following the service an additional celebration of the life and achievements of Jose will be held at Ormesby Table Tennis Club, Cargo Fleet Lane, Middlesbrough, TS3 8PB.
Jose’s family members in Canada, in lieu of flowers, have suggested that we establish a programme in Jose’s name to support the women and girls’ table tennis in England. In conjunction with Table Tennis England, the Ormesby Club, who are a registered charity, are taking advantage of an existing crowdfunding programme which was used to assist with the club’s facility development, and this page can accept donations for the campaign for Jose.
