Ormesby Table Tennis Club have been named 5 players in their squad to travel to London on Saturday for the vital championship match in the Premier Division title of the British Table Tennis League.

Ormesby are currently on level points with Urban at the top of the table.  The winner of Saturday’s match will lead the table and have a clear advantage going in to the second round of fixtures which begins in April.

Ormesby name three of England’s top 10 players; Captain Danny Reed, Darius Knight and Helshan Weerasinghe, plus Ormesby’s two non-English players Tianyuan Liu who played his first match against BATTS last month and won both his singles, and the Portuguese player Tianming Zhao.

Urban who won the title, pushing Ormesby into second place last season, have their squad of; Daniel Schaffer, Alim Hirji, Satoshi Aida, Szilard Gyorgy, Daniel Kosiba, Gergely Urban.

The match is being played at Barnet Table Tennis Centre starting at 3:00 pm

The League Table shows both Urban and Ormesby are unbeaten and both have 22 points.  It is likely the Championship this year will be decided between these two Clubs.
